The Moskvitch 410 is a car which was made by Soviet manufacturer MZMA from 1957. The 410 was conceived as a four wheel drive version of the Moskvitch 402. And it was the first 4×4 sedan. More photos added.
I was lucky enough to capture this moment from the making of «National Treasure: Book of Secrets» movie, also known as «National Treasure 2» with Nicolas Cage in the heart of the financial centre in London. Year 2007. Screenshots from the movie below.
Prodrive is a British motorsport and automotive engineering group based in Banbury, Oxfordshire, England.
In 1990, Prodrive began a long standing and highly successful relationship with Subaru, forming the Subaru World Rally Team. Prodrive was tasked with running Subaru’s rallying campaigns, helping them to three Drivers’ and three Manufacturers’ World Rally Championships (WRC). Starting out with the Subaru Legacy, they achieved minor success in the WRC with regular drivers Colin McRae and Ari Vatanen. The first Subaru victory in the WRC was by McRae in a Legacy during the 1993 Rally New Zealand. The smaller and more agile Impreza became the platform which Prodrive would be most successful within rally. Scotland’s Colin McRae won the 1995 World Rally Championship for drivers, followed later by England’s Richard Burns in 2001 and Norwegian Petter Solberg in 2003. All three championship Subarus were prepared and run by Prodrive.

I join with so many others who knew Latvian most famous drifter Gatis Lapans in offering my deepest sympathy on his passing, who has died in tragic circumstances this week. Although it is little consolation at this sad time, it should be of some satisfaction to know that in his passing you can celebrate the end of a very long and productive life — in 2011 lapans took title of vice-champion in NEZ drift championship. This year he started developing drift in India. Gatis was 29 years old. Rest In Peace, Gatis!
Everyone knows that 300SL is an epic car. I have found one awesome picture, it’s probably the first and only 300SL in Soviet Union. It has yellow number plates, which lets us make a clue that the photo is dated middle/end of the 50ies. It’s hard to say, how this vehicle overcame the iron curtain, but the fact is in front of us.
Another interesting fact is that now in the world there are more of these cars than were produced – the extra cars were assembled from spare parts.

This event took place on snowy track «333», arranged by KG Knutsson, official dealer for Thule products.
During the program participants had chance to take safe driving classes, to take part in time attack on ice track and finally to take co-drive in EVO X prepaired for rally with Harald Schlegelmilch, the 25 years old driver who has already managed to participate in championships like Formula Renault 2000, German Formula 3, Porsche Carrera Cup and F2 Championship.
It was very impressive, especially to get an experience in winter driving with 4×4 on track.

The car on photo belonged to Hollywood star and later to Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, from 1995 to 2003. The Mercedes S600 was the top model of the S-class series introduced in 1991. The V12 engine developed 394 HP at engine speed 5200/min. Photo was taken at Mercedes Museum in Stuttgart
