The BMW M3 CSL (Coupé Sport Leichtbau) was a limited edition version of the M3, with only 1,400 cars being produced for its 2004 model year run. The CSL was only available in two colours – Silver Grey Metallic and Black Sapphire Metallic.
I read «Autoreview» — the most popular magazine about cars in Russia — since 1994. And I have never thought that my photos will appear on the pages of the favourite magazine. So, it’s here, on page 3 🙂 This photo was taken at Gorkyclassic event in Nizhniy Novgorod last year.
As we all know, everything in our life evolves along the spiral — everything gets twisted, rotated, transforms onto another level, however, all the events get repeated, people get back and it happens in the same places.
The given photostream is the direct evidence hereto. Everything started few days ago, when i found the old picture of GAZ-21 «Volga» and MI-6 helicopter on the web, and realised that i have something similar in my archive. It turned out to be just the first of tens of pictures, almost identical to the oldies.
I just would like to add that none of pictures were made intentionally to resemble the old ones found on the web. And the special thanks goes to racinghistory.lv for the huge historical photomaterial from the Bikernieki track. The other old pictures are from my own archive and web space.
Sometimes I don’t understand why the automotive manufacturers bring no concepts «as it is» to life. Such as this one — BMW MTB Hardtail Concept bike. This photograph was taken by me in 2007 in Frankfurt and since then I haven’t seen anything as handsome as this in accessory programm of BMW. It was very amazing work with designed frame of aluminium and carbon fiberglass. But I will keep on hoping that new 4-series coupe will be presented to us without any substantial changes this September.
Some pictures from Motor-Museum in Riga before reconstruction in April 2013 begins.
Each Erdman & Rossi body that was hand-crafted for the 1938 Horch 853A was slightly different from others in its series. After all, the entire production volume of this elegant and technologically advanced roadster amounted to eight vehicles. Each vehicle was custom-commissioned, and World War II put an end to any commissions that would have arrived for subsequent units as Horch’s factory converted to military production for the Axis war machine.
